ICT to enhance formative assessment

The IB Visual arts syllabus has changed, rather than having a visiting examiner we now submit and moderate work digitally.

To make the transition from IGCSE, KS3 to IB Easier we have decided to use Google Classrooms prior to any external submissions, we hope this will prepare the students to meet deadlines and submit the work in the correct format as required by the IB. Please see our IB visual ARTs Classroom.

Advantages:

  • Clear instructions can be given including format requirements.

  • Component criteria and Rubrics can be Attached.

  • Clear Deadlines given and records of late submissions

Another very useful thing is to use it to announce exhibitions or lectures to students in the Lima area.

Students can access directly to the links provideda nd useful information shared by the teacher.

Collaboration between all members of the department in giving formative assessment and encouragement to the students.
